Favorite Quote:
There can be no society without poetry, but society can never be realized as poetry, it is never poetic. Sometimes the two terms seek to break apart. They cannot.<br /> -Octavio Paz

Smoke among us draws panic as what we have to lose begins to cry.
Stories are told as stories fold over and under the wake of two missiles from the sky.
It may have been too late to question where life is meant to end and begin,
For in the face of fate, we leapt onto the wings of the wind.

I wrote this poem on the 11th of September, 2010. Those who died showed up for work on time that day, yet were suddenly clocked out when ushering in the inevitable with an attempt to fly. Their lives were stolen- a theft in September.
