The Song of Love
Thought of you and my eyes lit up
Like the stars in the sky, they sparkled
Then came a little shy smile
It hadn’t been there for a while
Often, this happens when you’re not around
You are my sky, you are my ground
And when you’re not around, I guess I’m lost
Without a sky over my head to protect me
And without a ground beneath my feet to hold me up
Even though I feel so out of place,
like, from a dress, a ripped up lace
I've never lost the hope of seeing you in front of me,
standing before my face
That’s why when I think of you,
My face still blooms like a flower in spring
that’s why I still say you’re mine
and for you my heart sings,
…the song of love
