In the Mirror
I look in the mirror,
surprised by what I see
because that girl in the mirror,
well, that's not me
Her hair is too curly
her eyes are too big
Although she's fifteen,
she still looks like a kid
But her looks aren't the issue,
it's the inside that's wrong
She's so quiet now,
she's become so withdrawn
This girl, she's so frightened
She won't let anyone in,
which is why she's so lonely,
without many friends
The friends that she does have
are so far away
She only sees them in summer,
but one day that'll change
I look in the mirror,
surprised by what I see
because that girl in the mirror,
well, that's me
