White Wall
The white wall leaves me looking
As I wait for you to respond.
No words can make it out of my mouth
And time can’t be rewound.
My phone starts to ring
And my hand automatically goes to ignore
I can’t make myself say hello
I can’t talk to you anymore
Texting you make’s my whole day go wrong
But I don’t dare go without at least saying hello
Talking to you makes my heart race
Because our conversations never quite flow
But this wall is always here for me
It never objects to letting me frown
The day I turn to you to talk
Will be the day my wall crumbles to the ground
