Hunger
You made me feel at ease,
nothing to be ashamed of.
I had a burning desire for you,
and practically wrapped aroundn your finger.
When you glanced my way,
passion strung from our eyes.
But I was blind to the truth,
caught up in your deception.
You swallowed my feelings whole,
threw them all down your throat.
Then inside of your stomach,
bile ripped them to shreds.
Tearing it into pieces
you ripped away my self worth.
Now you’re left with a grin on your face
and I’m left heartless.
But instead of moving on,
I’ve taken a different stance.
I play the same game you play.
I break hearts and eat them too.
