The Hardest Maze
Everything is always turning
Spinning left and right and into town
There isn’t much to be learning
And so I sat there, quite discerning
Of forgotten tenses and unknown nouns
Everything is always turning
There was a time when I felt it burning
Crumbling, shaking, falling down
There isn’t much to be learning
And one night I tried returning
to the place I started-where I began to drown
Everything is always turning
And each time we meet, we’re always adjourning
I knew, with you, I could claim the crown
There isn’t much to be learning
And oh, how I’ve always been yearning
The end of the maze, with your wedding gown
Everything is always turning
There isn’t much to be learning
