El Dorado
I want to be buried by shards of the past—
Those that bed the ground and feed the future what it needs to know
As it grows ands stretches eager arms to the sky.
So let me throw open the door
And walk without care out the rusty gate.
I’m looking to discover what my heart is longing for—
An explosion of pure gold that will melt
Leaf by leaf to cover me
Not so that I may dwell on what has been, but to
Give me the wisdom to be content with my own El Dorado.
