To Say
Leaving is forever
and always tough
especially when you
realize it won't be the same.
Still life goes on
in untimely manners
ending again with sorrow
despair is settling in now.
Watching life from
an outsider's perspective
wanting to be there too
and never able to get a chance.
Saying your good-byes
are just as bad
because you can come
back when you walked away.
Good-bye makes it official
so you can't walk
back to the threshold
and start over.
It leaves you with
worries and trouble
never-ending and
always there taunting.
Memories lasted still
as you toss out pictures
trying and never succeeding
to end your good-byes.
