Fallen
Tears trickle down my cheek as I realize I am slowly giving up
I stand here invisible watching everyone walk by,
Starting to wonder if this life and you are just a setup
Hope is meaningless and lost as days go by and I start to cry
I cry out but no one hears me for they believe I am just a disgrace
Why, Why?
Why have you let this happen so that I would fall on my face?
I put on that fake smile, telling everyone I’m okay
But the truth is all I want to do is fly away
I walk these halls empty and forsaken,
Yet I appear unshaken
For I know that you and this world have become cold
This makes me wonder what this life in front of me will hold
Is it pain?
I do not know, for am I the one to blame?
What do you want me to be?
I try for you, hoping that you would come back for me
But you never do, leaving me broken
My pain is suffocating, leaving my desperate words unspoken
You left these chains on my wrists
Keeping me locked away
Leaving me weak, unable to resist
Is this how you want me to look and portray?
Maybe, maybe I will be good enough for you someday
Years go by
Again I start to cry
I now see the truth,
You are the one who abandoned me
Why? Why?
Why didn't I see?
I have fallen past you into the arms of the one who loves me
Holding me in his arms, wiping the tears from my cheek,
He whispers, You beloved are the one I seek
Finally I am good enough for someone,
This life has not beaten me
Through my battles and scars, I have won
And now you are of my past
I have fallen past you into the arms of the one who loves me
That’s who I am and that’s who I have become,
Fallen
