My Words
I want my words to imitate those Mighty Bean toys,
And jump inside your head.
I want my words to constantly move.
Twirl through your mind and provoke an undiscovered meaning
I want my words to show its various sides.
When you see my Spiderman Mighty Bean,
I want you to save yourself from the evil that awaits.
When you see my Green Goblin Mighty Bean,
I want you to fight until you gain ultimate control.
I want my words to imitate a Polly Pocket doll,
But I don't want my words to be plastic or pretend.
I want you to dress my words up in the fanciest outfit you can create,
but then I want you to strip them naked,
Allowing you to see them for what they truly are.
I want my words to take a ride in the "Polly Convertible"
So they can show you the places they've been,
And let you explore unheard of sights.
I want my words to imitate Hot Wheels,
And race into your mind.
I want my words to twist and turn through the tracks of your life
And make pitstops along the milestones.
I want my words to run on full speed
And take risks that will only make them more memorable.
I want my words to imitate Woody from Toy Story,
Providing you with a sense of secureness that you'll always have a friend
And assuring that they'll be there in your time of need.
I want my words to be as unique as his cowboy hat,
And inspire others to stand out.
Overall, I want my words to remind you of youth.
I want my words to be a five-year-old boy learning to ride a two-wheeler.
The scratch on his knee when he falls off, and the band-aid that heels it.
I want my words to scream because they're scared of the dark,
And then I want my words to be the nightlight that comforts its fear.
I want the child within to come alive when you read my words.
And when you read my words, I want you to shout.
Shout, because that's what little kids do.
They don't leave any emotion bottled up inside;
They shout it all out.
