As I read, pondering in great depth
In an isolated aisle from the masses
Occasionally a lost soul crept
Into my isle and I hid behind my glasses
I ingested the text, it was silent in my head
The outside world was bustling chaotically
The peace I felt, was similar to death, as I read
And the tumultuous people behaved dramatically
I was overwhelmed, my hands perspired
Looking to the book for comfort, I closed my eyes
A phrase I had analyzed began to inspire
A dream or situation that might happen in my life
Ultimately, I felt madness was creeping up to take me
The further I read, the further the craziness stayed
I held the book tight, oh so tight, and I was free
I cried in joy, while madness decided to run away
