Alone
She walks alone on a cold winter’s night
She walks with a broken heart
As her love for him beings to fade.
She walks with her head hung low and her eyes filled with tears
She walks under the city lights as her mind begins to wander
She thinks about the days she’s lost,
Giving them up to make everyone else happy.
She remembers giving everything up and now she thinks for what?
All her dreams were crushed because something had to be sacrificed.
They were walked over and talked about as if they were secrets
Her heart is broken and her dreams are gone.
So she walks so slow and so sad, beneath the city lights on a cold winter’s night.
