Stone
I see it on the wall
Haunting me in sleep
As I slowly begin to fall
In pain but without a peep
The bird of nightmares comes
After me in my plight
I run away in my head
Away from this creature without flight
For he owns those to evil to be dead
Kept still by his own flesh
Sent by the messenger to the dead
Who leads his cattle to hell
The bird now makes his bread
Leading my soul down that deep well
As punishment for my sin
My skin begins to seep
The cool stone from a fight
The scars cut too deep
Try as I might
The blood doesn’t stop
I wake from this dream
To my rightful place
In the sea without remains
I eat my wings
To make me tame
