The Storm
It beats against the roof
The glass and the brick
Outside is cold and dark
The air is violent and thick
Hear the terrible wail
Feel the world quake
Hush the foolish children
But it remains as they wake
The shelter may shudder
But why harbor fear?
A giant is nothing to
The dust standing here
Looking up into the might
Seeing a splendid blur
A monstrosity of myth
Never capable of murder
Though it cannot be killed
Us fragile mortals are
Fear never meets our souls
How could this leave a scar
It picks them off so swift
It glides them off their feet
To pick and eat like berries
Courage is so sweet
Scared yet? We should be
As arrogance turns to dread
The only chance we have
Is His hand upon our head
