Victory in Jesus With You
If it weren’t for you I wouldn’t rise every morn’,
To see the dawn of a new day;
This world has brought me great strife,
A game I no longer wish to play.
Things can be changed but people no,
They decide their own fate as Christ allows.
I’ve been hurt far too many times so far so GO!
But somehow they linger on-haunting me all the while…
A dark cloud of yesterdays,
Of what is and what could’ve been;
I desire not to care though I do!
Oh how I ever do!
Each and every day all that I do is pray,
Pray that I could do it over again.
I was lost in my own sorrow,
No hope for the world of tomorrow.
Rock bottom greeted me before I was even prepared,
They all scorned and I only stared.
You felt it too, the life of grief;
In each other’s confidence we finally found relief.
Christ led us together, comforted and brought hope,
Life in our eyes now had a much larger scope.
We talk, we laugh, no more tears;
In Christ’s name we breathe joyous cheers!
Our hearts are now filled,
Though they were really never empty.
Satan reeled us in the web of despair,
We got the victory, Praise His name!
