The Cat Child
I go to Nonni's house and see you laying there
your yellow fur rustling
your sides moving
your glass green eyes staring at me
I call you and you somewhat obey and come
you rub against my legs
your speach sounds like a child
though you are old
your fur is flecked with gray
you wrap around my leg and hug
we eat tuna together
you are my friend
though you are old
you whine when you don't get your way
yet though you act like a child
you are an old woman
you are the cat
the cat who whines like a child but is old
and is gone
