yet I fall like a leaf, and you were my tree.
The only thing that kept me high, away from the dangers
that lies below.
Out of reach like my dreams, spiraling to the ground.
You lost me, but you’ll just have me replaced.
Like all your love, drained away and put back in place.
I’m useless now, only to be pushed around.
By the winds that play and the children who pick me up.
Ask for help but no one can hear my call.
I’m left in the dark, rotting and broken, just like my heart...
