Fair April
Do you remember what I told you
About how easily I fall in love
This has been proven true
You are all I can think of
Your laugh is like a silver bell
It's music lightens my heart
Though I can't say it well
I loved you from the start
I would have you all year long
Oh fair temperate April
By your side I belong
Please don't spurn me, I would love you still
My heart is yours if you desire
Though your rejection would hurt
At least it would inspire
And maybe make me more alert
I hate to finish this poem
but all things must end
In your eyes I've found home
For your touch metal I'd rend
