Tapestry
Lamentably,
His ludicrous reverence,
And sketchy speculations
Into the nature
Of the frayed aromatic creepers,
Woven in flaunted riotous colours,
Like sprays of gaudy light,
Came to nothing.
With incredible talent was this creation cobbled together
Hours spent slouching over the wooden frame
A repetition of secretive convulsions
The images a reflection of a life
Transmuted into reds and yellows and pinks
Shot with undertones of black
The patterns of nature
Laid out in ancient fabric.
