Opaque
The flowers have faded
The sky has turned to grey
My heart has become vacant
And I wish, absently, for summer to stay.
My clouded eyes search for any sign
Of life among the endless white
While my hands seek nothingness blindly
My soul has become frost bitten
Seemingly overnight
I’ve lost all of my stability.
The seductive night falls,
Chilling me to my bones
The wind whispers its passion silently
The melody in the air changes
To a more haunting tone
And I wish more than anything I could awake
For my dreams are always so
Opaque.
