Eden
For my friend Eden, who will continue to be a blessing in my life
Once screamed her head off in the shower at the sight of a tiny spider
And fell off the ski lift as she was getting on
Whose faces make me laugh
And personality that makes me smile
And minded least of all that she is very small
And laughed when I fell in a puddle of water on a bus
Who had been supportive while I was learning to snow board
And knew all the good hiding sport for laser tag
And taught me how to make me a bracelet using part of a bottle cap
And coached me how to eat more like a pig
And spoke about the time she ate a live gold fish
And loved it when she beat me at air hockey
And looked guilty when she took my candy
And smelled, like Dove chocolate
And sat with me in the back of a police car on a scavenger hunt
Who made going to winter camp more special
And knew every cool song by heart.
