Yellow Leads a Double Life
Sick cries yellow skin.
Sun rains golden light.
The color yellow leads a double life.
Of soaring and crashing,
burning and dashing with wind on your face.
No one trust anyone.
Like a candle flame crayoned lemon,
melting, fading, dancing out until the lemon is yellowish-white.
Once upon a comforting sight.
No one lives forever, like a swelling symphony sewn with golden wheat,
it grows and explodes an opening
sunflower thrusting out its light.
The double bar line stops the repeat
and the silence speaks. It’s over.
No one is applauding.
