Do You Remember? I Do.
Do you remember? I do.
A day in April.
We were in the car,
Driving with the windows down,
Bobbing our heads to the beat of the music.
We didn’t know where we were going,
But we drove like we had a purpose,
Looking at the road full of hope,
Neither spoke, neither made a noise,
All you could hear was the thumping of the tires against the pavement,
And the rumble of the engine.
We were lost like a penny amongst the cushions,
Long time forgotten, never to be found.
The sun came down like
A balloon running low on helium,
Yet we kept driving, never stopping, never saying a word.
