The Room
I lay in a room that’s dark and cold.
Where I feel like I’m all alone,
I hide my pain in a cotton sheet.
Never moving never asleep
I wish I could dream wishful dreams
But all I see is the memories
Of that cold dark night
When you and mom got into a fight
I was thrown against the wall
Nothing or no one there to break the fall
Bruises fade but the pain remains
I remember how you kept me so afraid
I will never forgive again
No matter what I will never move
So I lay in this room that’s dark and cold.
