What's In One, Anyway?
My real name is Princess
(in Hebrew, of course).
To the world, my name is
always there,
but dispensable.
Yesterday it was
can't be sunk.
Until well... you know.
So today, my name is
oh-so-sinkable.
And who knows?
Maybe tomorrow will call for
she who couldn't handle
the truth.
she who just found out
too soon.
she whose heart worked
way too hard.
she who loved him...
(But where were you?)
I dream that my name
is a synonym of hers --
brightest star.
loved by all.
magnetic.
Though I can't help but feel
that my name is
(and always will be)
face in the crowd.
desperation.
That I'm destined to be
lost.
deteriorating.
forgotten about.
