Under Hitler's Shadow
Sorrow.
Painful sorrow.
Families exterminated.
Some won't live till tomorrow.
His rise to power.
Like a huge black tower.
He walks along.
Thinking all he has done is right.
How does he sleep at night
Knowing what he has done?
His people naive.
They can't see the reality.
Our lives
Changing dramatically.
When will help come?
With Germany,
I am about done.
His promises of glory,
they seem so real.
I ask myself,
"Are they right, do they feel?"
How much longer
until we have peace?
Now it seems that
Our country will never be at ease.
Has he no soul?
I grow so weary.
But at last,
Our liberators come
