Pigeons (Animal Farm Found Poem)
What animals must do
is to send out pigeons
with no need
to defend themselves.
They hid their faces
in the grass while
the Autumn harvest
clamoured to be allowed.
He who blew away the chaff
with his breath,
was somewhat peculiar
and would express no opinion.
Categorically- Categorically,
Humanity would have succeeded
in victory
had it got inside to read it.
We took a gander
at suicide
by swallowing cowardice
in battle,
but the pigeons were Forgeries.

The universe was exploding, each particle away from the next, hurtling us into dark and lonely space, eternally tearing us away from each other--child out of the womb, friend away from friend, moving from each other, each through his own pathway toward the goal-box of solitary death
