The Flame
Like rage, it consumes
Like love, it hurts
It frightens some, as the skirk from the mutilation caused
While others gaze into the fiery depths of unfathomable power
It represents those who seek power
Killing everyone in their path
Trying to get to the top,
But when they get there,
What now?
Can they go higher?
Be more powerful?
A fire can be doused when the fuel is gone
A rage will consume the one that feeds from it until the fuel for that rage is gone
The passionate flame the burns the young lovers
Will dissipate when the significant other has done wrong.
They think their love will not end,
A bottomless pit of passion and love
Everything passes in time
Everything dies
Everything
