Nameless
Above all, we come with names, labels, and tags
But what if there was one
Without a name, without a tag?
What would we call it, how could we
guess?
Time will consume it in
And will bear a name that it does not
want
But how could it rid of something
Permanent
That it will not forget
For that is what was followed
Could you erase it
To perhaps create your own name?
Maybe not, but nameless it rather be
For the names it has beared have not been good enough or wanted
With an unrippable tag, and a price on its side
It stares straight back at you, waiting
for its claim
Nameless shall it be, nameless it will not stay
In a child's arms a name does exist
The tag falls off, the label is gone
And now the doll is free
