Rainy day
The smell
The sound
The sight
Of rain
Gathers the night
And pours the day
As if to say
'This is your sadness
Melting away'
Gracefully
Making rainbows
Happy days
Smells clear
Pitter Patter
Bouncing off the rooftops
A single car can ruin it
Slamming
Against the window
Boom Boom
Instead of
Pitter Patter
Ruins the comfort
Yet, replaces it with a
New
Comfort
Instead of melting away sad
It's destroying my anger
Destroying
Melting
Comforting
And still
You call it gloomy
What?
And just look
At the rainbow
Bright and strong
After Destroying and Melting
A sign of relief
Happiness
The lord saying he love me
So take it in deeply
The smell
The sound
The sight
Of rain
Gathers the night and pours the day
As it dries up
And becomes clear
It empties into the air
God's sympathetic tear
