Unwelcomed Guest
It's hard to hear nothing when you're so use to screaming.
Falling asleep to silence is difficult when your dreams are filled with shouts and tears.
Nothing has changed but it's quiet.
It's something that doesn't have a regular appearance in the house.
A reply turns to a yell. A yell to a shout, a shout to a roar, a roar to a war that never seems to end unless tears are involved.
When there is a break, I know it won't last for long, because the argument after is always louder than the first. It's an unwelcomed guest that comes and goes, but I want it to stay.
Why won't it?
well, that's because it's not welcomed.
But, oh how I wish it would stay.
I dreamed when i was younger for a day, even a night, when I could dream without screams filling them.
But those dreams were never a reality that makes up my life.
I envy others who have it.
Silence.
