The Definition of Purple

A color that’s not red nor blue or even green,
It’s one that’s sort of in between
A color once too expensive to give
And never represented in ROY G. BIV
A secret I’ll share from me to you,
It’s made from mixing red and blue
Lavender is made if it’s too bright
And brown if you didn’t do it right
A color that fits with all the rest
But is the best of the best
