Ode to Bras
The friend I hold nearest and dearest to my heart,
the one who holds me up when I am down,
the one who fills my soul with security ever day;
that is the one I entrust with my vanity.
Without her,
I would spend many a-days
sagging and cold,
nothing but my arms around my chest
as company.
As I transform,
my friend joins me,
and we shed our old skin
into new.
Whether I be
perky,
worn,
a little hefty,
or even non-existent,
I know she'll always give me her comfort
as a best friend...
and bra.
