Delicate
Smooth
Curved
Silent
My blood and sweat and tears
leak between my teeth
as I smile and laugh at what you say.
I close my mouth,
lick my lips,
and slip everything back in.
Back down my throat,
to stand at attention
behind my ribcage
and fall down this road of crazy notions
and sever infatuation
and ravenous thoughts
and strange repentance.
It's just one big explosive eruption,
and it all stays obediently silent
behind my frozen lips
as I melt a subtle smile that says more than you'll ever know.
