Wonderland Awaits
Let me light up the sky for you,
Help you swim the ocean blue
Float back safely to the ground
While I'm dreaming, homeward bound.
Somewhere far I know you rest
I am east and you are west.
But it matters not tonight,
Nightmares plague me, though I fight.
Let me light up the sky for you,
Don't you know I'd die for you
Just wake me from this endless night.
Shake me from the awful fright.
I'd help you swim the ocean blue
I'd climb the mountains, valleys too.
Anything to get you back to me
To live the dream that will never be.
Awaiting sunlight that will never shine
Awaiting someone who was once mine
Left to sleep in an eternal dark
Mind a maze, I go embark
Knowing this land is but a dream
Does not help to curb the scream
That escapes me when I think of you
Think of where I am headed to
Here I find that the world can be
Far madder than reality
Hidden deep I see the gates
At least I know Wonderland awaits.
