Death and I
Death and I walk hand in hand,
look at us a dreary band.
Traveling across the land,
time slips by like grains of sand.
We're really close, Death and I,
sometimes we see eye to eye.
I think of him, when i cry,
I leave his embrace with a sigh.
Death and I, a friendly pair,
everything in life we share.
It seems he is the only one to care,
and life for death is only fair.
Death is gentle, Life is tough.
Death is calm, while life is rough.
Death is true when life bluffs.
I think I've finally had enough.
Death and I walk on the shore,
I look back at what i adored.
With nothing left to live for,
I step through Death's final door.
