A Curious Collection
I collect moon beams,
Paper planes and children's dreams,
Angel wings and cloudless days,
Sweet words and sunny rays,
Springs first dew and snowflakes,
Warm hugs and handshakes,
Sweet hellos and sad goodbyes,
Innocence and devious lies,
Starry nights and icy rain,
No regrets and loveless pain,
Spider webs and empty beds,
Wisps of smoke and stones for heads,
Crystal tears and lonely times,
All the words that have no rhyme;
One by one I tuck away,
Every word we ever say,
Both the good and the bad,
Wishes for what we never had,
Needs and dreams,
Plots and schemes,
They're all folded nice and neat
In a drawer like a set of sheets,
So my dear, come what may,
Always think about what you say.
