As I walk this forgotten read, I remember.
Remember memories of a lost time.
Memories of vibrant rainbows shimmering above me,
Memories of warm sunshine blazing around me,
Memories of clouds tumbling into waves upon me,
As I gaze into the swirling tides beside me.
Yet, the rainbows love glides around my soul,
the sun’s rays never reach the cold darkness I feel,
and the clouds softness shies away from my mere touch.
Instead, sorrow consumes me and rumbles inside of me.
Forks of lightning light up the downcast skies of my soul.
Crackles of thunder fill my ears as
rain falls like tears upon my cheeks,
reflecting what is felt but is never seen
except inside me.
Dreary clouds cover the mysteries of the world and
waves crash upon jagged rocks and briny sand.
But, I never share this
I never share the story of my life.
