Take Me Away

Take me away to that place in the tunnel, where the world meets the sky. The melancholy brushes of the wings of the low flying sparrows send a feeling of content.
Run up the hill, I’ll be right there behind you.
No one will know of the place we met the clouds and called them our own.
Time’s the key to finally stepping away from the situation gone astray.
As I begin to lose touch with what I’ve become,
Finally.
I'm nothing more than a distant memory of greater times, with even greater excuses.
