I Miss You, But I Don't
I miss your smile
Your deep, caring eyes
How you would listen
Give thoughtful replies
I miss our jokes
Your contagious laugh
You were important
My true, other half
I miss your patience
When you'd hear me out
I felt so much better
Beyond any doubt
I can't quite describe
The state of my heart
Now that you're gone
Now that we're apart
But all that I know
Is I'm much better off
Without your rude actions
Why would you scoff?
Who you are now
Isn't who I first met
Despite the good times
I try to forget
Because when I glance
At your beautiful face
As I pass in the hall
Amongst the rat race
I so badly wish
You felt the very same
Relationships are not
Just simply a game
I don't like who you are
I miss who you were
The negative feelings;
They toss and they stir
Now that I've realized
You couldn't be sincere
I'm glad that it's over
Please don't reappear
