I Still Miss You
It’s been a while
Since we went for
Our last ride in the car.
It’s been months since I last
Heard you singing
With me.
My family misses you too.
Everyone who met you
Is sad.
I don’t cry a lot about it
Any more,
But I still miss you.
I won’t forget your excitement
Every time we went for a walk,
Or how happy you got
Whenever it snowed.
You were my fiercest protector.
You didn’t like to see me sad.
You wouldn’t even let go
Until I was better.
I still miss you.
Every time I
See fresh snow,
Hear a dog singing,
Or watch a child with a big dog,
I remember you.
In every dog
See in a car,
I see you.
In every big white dog
Whom looks terrifying,
I see you,
I still miss you.
I’m sorry
I didn’t
treat you better.
I’m sorry
You had to
Go the way
You did.
I’m sorry
Please forgive me
Most of all,
Thank you for being
my friend,
My protector,
My Buddy.
Last but not least
…
Good bye
