Quandary
The two great ancient and eternal problems,
Life itself never dies,
And death itself never lives.
To the individual only it concerns,
The passing of time,
The passing of thought.
Through each successive age, Men have never solved that
Elusive, present, forthcoming Quandary of death:
Immortality of the flesh never obtained,
Immortality of the spirit obtained through the Cessation.
