Her Choice

her choice brought tears to her eyes
she covered up the past; the lies
as she turned away from addiction
it seemed so unreal; complete fiction
but the walk made her life turn
she no longer settled than less than she deserved
once quiet now changed to loud
unsatisfied and lonely transitioned into pride
there were no more late nights filled with tears
everywhere was love now; no more fear
she walked away from the bad and into the good
she smiled to herself; finally things are as they should
