Always My Child
She’s always my child,
And I’ll love her no matter what,
But she’s my baby girl,
My little baby girl.
I don’t know how to take this
This news about her changing.
She’s not the little girl I thought she was.
She’s always my child,
And I’ll love her not matter what,
But she wants to be a boy
She says that she’s a boy.
I don’t know where I went wrong,
Or how I missed the signs.
She’s not the little girl I thought she ways.
She’s always my child,
And I’ll love her no matter what,
But this is something I can’t accept
Something no mother can accept.
I’ll have to change her mind,
Make her see that she’s a girl.
She’s not the little girl I thought she was.
He’s always my child
And I’ll love him no matter what,
And together we’ll get through this
We’ll help each other through this.
I see that this is who he is
And who he’s always been
He may not be the little girl I thought he was,
But he’s always my child.
