I Could Have Sworn I Loved Him
I could have sworn I loved him,
But now it’s hard to see
If love is something lost and found,
Or if it’s meant for me.
His face is stained upon my mind,
His laugh, his hair, his eyes.
He barely knew my name, and yet,
He saw through my disguise.
They called him Music Genius,
And Funny, Cool, and Smart.
They called him Mr. Artist,
And Mr. Pure-At-Heart.
But now he has a different name
In message numbered three.
I could have sworn I loved him, but
He’s Mr. Not-For-Me.
