I know for one how the rain descends and the sun beams
I know for one how the rain descends and the sun beams
I understand why the snowflakes drift in their own pattern
And how a flower blooms only under its own circumstances
Even so, I can’t grasp how someone can allow their love
To diminish slowly, yet certainly
And progress as if life has remained unchanged.
So bewildered I stay, unable to grasp
How the people surrounding me
Go on breathing when true love ends.
