Distance
I haven’t got the money or the time to spare.
On the long distant drive or the cab fair.
I haven’t got the heart to watch you get up and go.
All I wish I could do is take the clock and make time slow.
My heart it tears in two.
One direction for me and the other for you.
Because I love you kid, but my heart it beats for me.
And lord know that this isn’t how it should be.
I can’t understand why it’s all turned out this way.
Is there any kind of due’s that I can pay?
Falling in love is far to easy, it’s the falling out that’s tough.
I’ve heard that love is gentle and that it’s kind but they don’t always tell you that it’s rough.
But there’s and anchor in my heart and it’s keeping me grounded to you.
So maybe this isn’t too good to be true.
