Dear Birth Mom
Dear birth mom,
Thank you for putting me on the earth on January 31 1997. Do you remember that? You and dad had a chat. Probably about how to support me, your not so much of a majesty with that salary. So you say goodbye to this curly blonde child in an orphanage saving her from being tortured by poverty. This child is underweight in a horrible state. Want to say goodbye but you hesitate. I bet you didn’t cry because it hasn’t been the first time, your baby’s going to be scared of being forgotten. Being abandoned again by a loved one. I guess it could have gone this way, I really don’t know, being only one week old staring into a new scary world. Hey mom I’m 14 this is not the first time I’ve thought about this sometimes it keeps me up till midnight hits. I’m grateful of what you did and doing what you could. Just don’t count on seeing me in my adulthood.
Forever wondering,
Your child, Kathleen
