The Day My Grandpa Died
I lose my mind
I lose my heart
This time I think I might’ve gone too far.
Im blind not I cannot see
This immeasurable pain
suffocating me
I’m deaf, no feeling in my fingers,
In my mouth, no taste lingers
Thats when my grandpa died
With my friends,
my feelings hide
He’s dead gone
I cannot see
I’m blind
I cannot see
This immeasurable pain suffocating me
Im deaf deaf, no feeling in my fingers.
Talk to you? I think
Staring at my feet
In the counselors office
Run away far and wide.
No longer can my feelings hide.
Im blind I cannot see
This immeasurable pain
suffocating me.
Im deaf, no feeling in my fingers.
I break out sobbing with my best friend.
She’s sorry, she’ll help me, to all ends.
We’re closer now than ever
As she gives me a hug that lasts forever.
Im blind I cannot see
This immeasurable pain suffocating me.
I do my homework for once,
And my head no longer throbs, as though I’ve just been punched.
But at night comes the pain,
The pain that seems just to gain.
Im blind I cannot see
The counselor gives me chocolate.
I smile and I ate a lot of it.
There’s nothing that I can’t be
Because even though my grandpas inside of me,
I can see
I can breath
I can hear
I can touch
I can taste
I can
Live.
