It Came From the West
It came from the west
that powdery white pest
It fell on the rooftops of red brick houses
It blew itself next to the little small mouses
It went through town
Going around and around
People asleep, Children asleep
No one around to see or peep
Who is it and why are you here?
Blowing strong winds to give us great fear
All of a sudden it is gone
the sun comes up and it dawn
It has left it’s whiteness behind
Did he just leave it to fool our minds?
The next thing you know
white is here, there, everywhere
I pick some up and throw it in the air
What is this called I haven’t seen it before
This is snow my friend,
This is snow my dear!!
